On February 21, 1981, some of the top distributors of the recently formed nutrition company, Herbalife International, gathered at the Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles, USA to listen to 35 year old Vice President of Sales, Larry Thompson. Larry was once so shy that he couldnāt stand up in front of his class and give an oral book report. However, on this fateful day, he took to the stage to teach the assembled group the timeless and fundamental principles of network marketing. Thankfully, Herbalife founder, Mark Hughes, had decided to tape the training which became known as The Millionaire Training.
A little over 6 years later in April 1987, Paul Hopfensperger joined Herbalife and was given a copy of The Millionaire Training tapes to listen to. He listened to it over and over again and It changed his life forever. The principles became part of his life.
2021 sees Paul enter his 35th year as an Herbalife Distributor, but he particularly picked up on an item mentioned by Larry on The Millionaire Training tapes. Larry said he really appreciated those people who had taken the time to be there that day who were not part of Herbalife, and that they could use some of the concepts discussed in all areas of their lives.
In 2020, Larry released the training tapes as a book, and he hosts a Facebook Live The Millionaire Training Book Club with his wife Taylor every Friday.

On January 22, 2021, Paul was honoured to be invited onto Larry and Taylors book club to discuss how he used some of the principles in the book to accomplish one of his lifelong goals - to swim The English Channel, not just once, but three times!
THOUGHTS, HABITS and YOUR MENTAL PROJECTORā¦
Those of you who are familiar with the original Millionaire Training Tapes, will remember that Larry talks about some of the following concepts:-
THOUGHTS - Thoughts become words and words become actions. Paul explains how he had the idea (a thought) of swimming The English Channel in July 2006, broke the news to his wife, then created an action plan to achieve his goal
HABITS - A habit is a habit, but is it helping you or hindering you? Paul explains how he had to re-start the habit of swimming, having not swum for 11 years. He developed the habit of swimming 7 times per week to ensure that his actions helped him achieve his goal, not hinder it. He had replaced the habit of NOT swimming for 11 years, with the habit of swimming 7 times per week!
YOUR MENTAL PROJECTOR - You are the Projectionist. Learn to Choose What You Feel! Paul explains how you used his mental projector to project and visualise himself swimming The English Channel over, and over, and over again. In this way, once he got in to The English Channel on July 10, 2007, he had āalready swum it hundreds of timeā - but in his mind. He had the right film in the projector at all times to help him achieve his goal.
