When I was introduced to the personal development and personal wellness industry at age 24, my mentor Jim Rohn told me to get a library started. Now I have never been a great reader, but I listened to and trusted every word he said, after all he was one of the most influential people I had ever met. He said to me:
Any home over $250,000 has a library started. Why do you think that is? Wouldn’t that make you curious? Does it tell you something? Does it educate you at all?
When this dreadful coronavirus hit the UK, I made a conscious decision to do two things. The first, was to ensure I could share as much of my nutritional information acquired over the past 33 years as possible with my family, friends and customers. The second, was to only watch the news occasionally, and use my time wisely to keep a positive mindset, and use the lockdown wisely to study. I have never felt so motivated and excited for the future!
Charles Darwin once wrote:
It is NOT the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change.
Jim Rohn said:-
If YOU will change, everything will change for YOU.
Wow! Powerful stuff. So how are YOU going to change? Well first of all, get your library started. However small or large your house is, just clean out a cupboard, call it your library and start acting intelligent! I did, and now have 4 areas of my house setup with different libraries. If I can do it – YOU can do it! I’m no different than you. Start YOUR library TODAY and let it show that you are a serious student of health, life, spirituality, education, economics, culture, sales, law, uniqueness, sophistication, management, prosperity. Let your library show your future guests that you are serious.
It’s important to nourish your Body with good nutrition, but it’s just as important to nourish your Mind with good reading – That’s why we call it “Food for Thought”. So be the exception, use this lockdown wisely. Don’t sit there watching the TV with its constantly depressing news. Start your library – TODAY! What else are you going to do? TODAY is the day to start changing the next 10 years.
Jim gave me a list of books to start off my library with, and I will pass on the first of these to you today. It’s called “The Richest Man in Babylon” by George S. Clason. My son is currently studying this coronavirus during lockdown. He is 10 years old and studying a class we are calling “Wealth 1”. I wonder how many of his friends are studying “Wealth 1” – how to be financially independent by age 40?
Stay safe everyone and my very best wishes to you all!
